Here's how to simplify the story of Brave New World so that you can see the trick Aldous Huxley used.

Let's reframe the dystopia behind Brave New World so that the hierarchy becomes skin color.

1. Alpha is Japanese skinned.

2. Beta is English skinned.

3. Gamma is Amerindian skinned.

4. Delta is Mexican skinned.

5. Epsilon is African skinned.

Do you see the trick?

The dystopia operates on private knowledge of a Loom that controls your skin color. But because private knowledge does not exist, neither can the dystopia.

The only way to make the dystopia work is to encrypt the Loom, which is evil. And once you allow for evil, you can then punish yourself into alpha.
